Paris partie 4: le sommet du Tour Eiffel

After soaking up l'Arc de Triomphe, we found a cafe to have dinner at, and then proceeded to le Tour Eiffel to go up to the top! The line wasn't too bad, we got through to the first lift in under an hour, and then waited around 45 minutes halfway up. You can climb up to the halfway point, but if you want to go all the way to the top you have to pay the full lift price at the bottom in order to proceed. And let me tell you, if you love amazing views, it is so worth it. Especially at night - seeing all the lights of the city 900ft below us was absolutely breath-taking. But, a word to wise: bring a jacket, and definitely way more clothing if its winter, because it is COLD and WINDY up there. There honestly isn't a whole to say with words, because the photos tell it all. So here are the views, as best as I could capture them.

Looking east - I'm not sure what building that is, but I think its the Pantheon.

Looking north - l'Arc de Triomphe

Best friends at the top of the Eiffel Tower. :)

We could see fireworks to the northwest - we think it was EuroDisney. So pretty (though not in this photo).

Champs de Mar, looking west

Le Seine is so pretty at night, especially up high.

We saw a proposal!!! I just turned around, and there
he was, down on one knee! Sadly I have no
idea who they are, so I can't give them these photos.

So the architect had an apartment up at the top
to entertain important people. So now they have
these really creepy mannequins on display.
